Doug Wright is an attorney with the law firm Douglas Wright Law, APC and specializes in Estate Planning, Probate and Business Law. Doug is originally from Burney and graduated from Burney High School. He then earned a B.A. in Political Science from UCLA and a Juris Doctor from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. While at McGeorge, Doug spent a summer studying in Salzburg, Austria with United States Supreme Court Justice Anthony M. Kennedy. Doug has been recognized as a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers Magazine, a peer-reviewed recognition given to the top 2% of attorneys under the age of 40 in California.
Doug is currently the Legal Director and Secretary for the Redding Colt 45s Baseball Club, a member of the Shasta County Republican Central Committee, and a member of the Rotary Club of Redding. Doug is also a past Chairman of Board of Directors for the Redding Chamber of Commerce, a past Director for the Rotary Club of Redding, past Vice President of the Shasta Trinity County Bar Association, past member of the Board of Trustees of the Mercy Foundation North, and past member of the Board of Directors for the Shasta County Economic Development Corporation.
Doug is married to his wife Heather, and has three children.
